

Kirk Brynjulson has over 30 years' experience in the real estate industry, specializing in land use, entitlement, and land development with a focus on master planned communities and single project developments. Kirk has significant experience in planning and design, obtaining governmental approvals and entitlements, developing and managing development budgets, value engineering and project scheduling and management.
Presently, Kirk works as Vice President of Land Development for Lake Las Vegas, a 3,600 acre master planned community in Henderson, Nevada. Mr. Brynjulson is a member of the Atalon Group management team that successfully restructured Lake Las Vegas through a chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. The team worked to successfully negotiate with local government, contractors, land owners and suppliers to gain confirmation of the Lake Las Vegas Plan of Reorganization from the Federal Bankruptcy Court in June of 2010, and following the closing of its exit financing, Lake Las Vegas emerged from bankrtupcty in July 2010.
Prior to joining The Atalon Group, Kirk served as Vice President of Land Development for Rhodes Homes of Arizona, a large Las Vegas-based private homebuilder and land development company. Mr. Brynjulson was responsible for the entitlement of five proposed master planned communities of over 40,000 acres and 100,000 units, established and served as president of Perkins Mountain Utility Company, managed the specific development plan for Golden Valley, a 5,500 acre master plan including preliminary master water, sewer and drainage plans, mass grading design, proving water for 20,000 units, contracting the drilling and placement of water wells, and the planning and grading of an 18 hole 8,700 yard Tom Robinson Golf Course.
Before joining Rhodes Homes, Kirk was Vice President of Land for Beazer Homes of Nevada. At Beazer, Kirk's responsibilities spanned all aspects of the land acquisition, design and planning, entitlement and development, including proforma preparation in anticipation of acquisition, overseeing design, obtaining entitlements, working with city officials, engineers and utility providers, controlling costs, managing budgets and scheduling. Kirk was also responsible for tracking the Las Vegas market and ensuring that Beazer's land portfolio was properly positioned in each Las Vegas sub-market, identifying potential land acquisitions, performing due diligence, and negotiating with sellers.
Previously, Kirk worked for American Nevada Corporation in Las Vegas, where he was responsible for the master-planned developments of Green Valley, an 8,000-acre master-planned community; Green Valley Ranch, a 3,500-acre community; and Seven Hills, a 2,700-acre master plan that includes a golf course, club house, and over 3,000 custom lots and residential lots. Kirk also represented the company in a partnership with Forrest City Development in the marketing and development of the Seven Hills master plan.
Kirk earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Colorado.
